What a wonderful read about Jason showing the beauty of Newfoundland.

A trip by actor Jason Momoa into the western Newfoundland backcountry to scout out film-shoot locations could be a boost for tourism there.

Caverns, ice caves, and snowy expanses were just a few of the locations Frontier star Momoa and his crew visited thanks to Craig Borden, snowmobiling trip guide and manager of the Rugged Edge outdoor shop in Corner Brook.

“Everybody was overwhelmed there was so much so close,” Borden told the Corner Brook Morning Show Thursday.

“They’re used to travelling a long distance to get to places. When we’d go somewhere and it would take 45 minutes for us — which is probably, you know, we’d consider it a long [snowmobile] ride — they were amazed to go 45 minutes for seeing the views, the vistas, the trees.”

Be sure to check out Jason in his latest film, ‘Braven’ in select theatres!  Here is a review of it below:

Braven” is a solid, fast-paced action-thriller starring Jason Momoa (better known as Aquaman) as Joe Braven, a caring, capable logger forced to fight for his and his family’s lives. Joe has movie-franchise Everyman written all over him — and we could do worse (though the name’s a bit much).

Justice League only dipped into the expansive undersea potential for Jason Momoa’s superhero, and director James Wan follows the epic ensemble with a solo film where Arthur Curry is caught between the surface and the watery kingdom of Atlantis. “He doesn’t quite fit in, but as the story progresses, he realizes he’s the best of both worlds,” says the filmmaker. “Circumstances allow him to grow as a human being and then realize the bigger picture of it all and what it means to have these abilities.” Designing Atlantis has given Wan a chance to “make something that is from our planet but at the same time, it’s a visual we’re not familiar with,” and he’s also unleashing some seriously bad guys. Chief among them: Aquaman’s archvillain Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), whose antagonism “is very primal, that classic revenge story,” Wan adds. “I love the simplicity of that human drive.”
